The 5th Session of the Annual Faith and Politics workshop will take place in Venice on the 17-24 August, 2014. If you are a young adult from any part of Europe, this workshop will help you discover how faith and politics are related. It will empower you to engage for the good in public service in a world of contradictions. This year the Former Prime Minister of Poland Hanna Suchocka will participate. Furthermore, two Irish Jesuits will be travelling to Venice: Peter McVerry SJ, head of the Peter McVerry Trust which aims to eliminate homelessness in Ireland, will give participate in the workshop Ã¢â‚¬ËœWitnesses from actors in Public life’. Edmond Grace SJ, representing the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice, will give a lecture entitled Ã¢â‚¬ËœPolitical Loyalties and Public Service in Europe’.
