Red Chair Campaign

This year together we can do something amazing and change the lives of children in the poorest & most marginalised places of the world!

How? By sending them to school!

Education is the key to escaping poverty & building skills for employment and better livelihoods.

Currently, 251 million children worldwide are out of school, including 98 million children and young people out of school in Sub-Saharan Africa.

But together we can change all that!

The significance of the red chair symbolizes a child’s school place and seat in the classroom.

In the places where we work, extreme poverty and discrimination leave communities behind – At IJI we believe everyone should have access to education and we are there at the margins, often in forgotten crises ignored by headlines and mainstream news.

This education fund is about leaving no one behind and support and donations will pool monies to continue to bring education to those who need it most.

The fund covers several aspects, all of which are vital to building brighter futures now and for future generations to come.

The Red Chair campaign will support teacher salaries, teacher trainings, school lunches, learning materials, uniforms and even classroom construction in South Sudan, Kenya and Nigeria.

The campaign, as well as bringing hope to marginalised communities, will also contribute to achieving the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, especially Goal 4 focused on creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow!

Education is the vital steppingstones to break from poverty, together we can make sure no seat is left empty in a classroom and safe spaces for learning and innovation can thrive and nurture!

Be part of something amazing and contribute no matter how big or small to a movement truly changing lives for the better.
