
Project Overview
The Promotion of a Consistent Culture of Protection (PCCP) project is the Society of Jesus’ universal strategy to contribute to the elimination of abuse in its works, in the Church, and in society at large. PCCP promotes a culture of protection, safeguarding, and wellbeing across Jesuit works, including schools, universities, and social, pastoral, and spirituality centres.
The project is based within the Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat of the General Curia of the Society of Jesus and is coordinated by Fr John Guiney SJ and Dr Sandra Racionero-Plaza.
PCCP is currently developing new global training and formation programmes and is seeking a PCCP Content Assistant to support the creation of high-quality online learning content.
Role Overview
The PCCP Content Assistant will support the development of online training programmes focused on evidence-based prevention and response to violence, particularly in school contexts. The role involves research, content writing, and adaptation of materials into engaging digital learning formats.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr Sandra Racionero-Plaza, coordinator and principal investigator of the PCCP Content and Research Team.
Key responsibilities
This list is indicative and not exhaustive:
• Support the development of content for online training programmes on evidence-based prevention and response to violence in schools, with some links to Ignatian spirituality (prior familiarity not required).
• Conduct literature reviews in Web of Science and search other scientific sources to identify key elements and practical ideas to include in the courses.
• Write and adapt high-quality content into engaging digital learning formats (e.g. slides, scripts, quizzes).
• Support the development of multimedia materials (e.g. basic video, visuals, audio coordination).
• Collaborate with team members to ensure content quality, coherence, and alignment with project goals.
Required Skills and Experience
• Experience in content development, communications, education, or a related field.
• Strong research skills, including the ability to conduct precise literature reviews (e.g. Web of Science, scientific journals).
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; experience in developing pedagogical materials is an advantage.
• High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment, with flexibility to respond to project needs.
• Fluency in English (required).
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Training in safeguarding, child protection, or gender-based violence (not required but beneficial).
• Proficiency in additional languages: Spanish and/or French (oral and written).
• Interest in and commitment to the protection of minors and vulnerable adults and the prevention of abuse.
• Respect for Ignatian spirituality and the Catholic faith.
• Familiarity with eLearning tools or Learning Management Systems.
Working Arrangements
• Contract length: 1-year contract, renewable annually.
• Contract type: Full-time or part-time
• Location: Remote, hybrid or on-site
• Flexibility: Some flexibility required in line with project needs.
Line Management
The PCCP Content Assistant will report to Dr Sandra Racionero-Plaza, Coordinator and Principal Investigator of the Content and Research Team of PCCP and Associate Coordinator of PCCP.
